Classical Arabic Literature (Online)

Our level 2 courses introduce students to classical Arabic literature, including the Quran, Hadith, and works of classical authorities such as Al-Ghazali, Ibn Qayyim, Al-Tahawi, An-Nawawi, Ibn Al-Muqaffa, and Al-Jahiz.

 

The aim of these courses is to introduce students to primary texts in Classical Arabic and give them the confidence to pursue further reading of similar works on their own.

We have various courses within our Classical Arabic Literature programme. They are taught at different times of the year at a similar level and presented in the same format. For the upcoming term, the following courses will be taught:

January 2023 Courses:
 

Evenings: Classical Arabic Literature -  Al-Ghazali's Beginning of Guidance.
6:30pm-9.00pm. Starting on Wednesday 11th January 2023 

Mornings: Classical Arabic Literature - Qur'an: Surat al-Baqara.

10am-12:30pm. Starting on Friday 6th January 2023

As a prerequisite for enrolment on these courses, students need to have completed our Level 1 course or be able demonstrate an equivalent level of Arabic. 

Course fee: £499 (concessions available based on individual circumstances).
